If asked to select a word to describe the experience of recent years, a large proportion of education leaders would undoubtedly go for ‘disrupted’. But, as new technological capabilities have been created to enable students and staff to collaborate, work and learn from anywhere, many are now thinking of a different word altogether… ‘opportunity.’
Indeed, research conducted with education sector IT leaders by Vanson Bourne in 2021 found 87% agree that organizations should be adopting a “learn from anywhere” mindset. When considering the top benefits of a hybrid learning model – often also referred to as blended learning – we can see why they hold this view: 70% report an increase in productivity within their establishments over the past 12 months, and 74% an increase in collaboration. Meanwhile, 42% report decreased operating costs as a result of hybrid learning.
